About Robert Miner III

Robert “Robby” Miner III was born in New Hyde Park, New York, and graduated from New Hyde Park Memorial High School. He proudly served as Master-at-Arms in the Navy, first stationed at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia, and then the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Virginia. Robby’s final duty station was Norfolk, Virginia, on the USS Enterprise where he served on the final deployment and inactivation. As a natural born leader, Robby lived with patriotism as a guiding principle. His lifelong desire to be a police officer helped him to excel in his role of Master-at- Arms in the Navy. Robby grew up with a love for the outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, and geocaching. He shared this enthusiasm with his wife and sons. Miner was a Life Scout and a volunteer firefighter in his hometown of New Hyde Park. He was a protective husband, caring and nurturing father and beloved brother and son who lived his life to serve with honor. Robby’s motto was “Every man dies, but every man does not really live”.
