About our scholarship
The Carry The Load scholarship was established in 2023 by our ambassador, Michael Flowers – a United States Marine Corps veteran who is deeply committed to both service and education. This scholarship is meant to ease the financial burden of students as well as recognize the valor and dedication of those who’ve lost a parent in the line of duty. - Eligibility: Must be a child of a fallen first responder or military personnel, interested in furthering your education beyond high school. Please reference the application link below for the full criteria.
- Award Amount: Earn up to a $10,000 Scholarship
- Application Period: January 1 – March 31

Carry The Load proudly announces Mark Rule as our 2023 scholarship recipient! Mark is the son of Deputy Constable Caleb Rule who was killed in the line of duty on May 29, 2020. Mark’s commitment to his future is a testament to his father’s legacy. We congratulate Mark on this well-deserved honor and his decision to attend Community College in Needville, Texas. His dedication to learning and his family’s legacy of service inspires us all!
