About Leopold Vincent Fischer

Sergeant First Class Leopold Vincent Fischer served the U.S. Army for two tours. He was captured in Germany and was a prisoner of war for a year during World War II. His heroism inspired his son to also serve in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War. Thank you for your service. Your son, wife and grandkids are honored to carry you. God Bless You.

As a POW, Fischer demonstrated a high level of loyalty to his Country. We honor his self-discipline, adaptiveness, and a strong sense of camaraderie with fellow prisoners.

Leopold Vincent Fischer was a hero, serving in the U. S. Army, by enlisting and re-enlisting. He had a lasting effect on others, especially his son. Upon his return home, he took care of his family. His courage, loyalty, and sacrifice continue to inspire us.
