About Jacob Turbett

Corporal Jacob Turbett enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2006, proudly serving as a combat engineer. Throughout his distinguished service, he completed three overseas tours in Bangladesh, Iraq, and Afghanistan, demonstrating unwavering dedication and resilience in diverse and challenging environments. He died in Helmand province, Afghanistan as the result of hostile attacks.

Jacob always displayed humility, honor and courage. But during the down times he was frequently cutting up and being the comedian in the room, while playing cards with his friends and brothers.

Corporal Turbett leaves behind a legacy defined by courage, sacrifice, and an unshakable commitment to his fellow Marines and his country. He stepped into the ranks of the United States Marine Corps with a sense of purpose far beyond his years. As a combat engineer, he embodied grit and resilience—always the first to face danger so others could move forward safely.
