As a young boy, Patrick Erlandson participated in the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program. At just 20 years old, he completed the Law Enforcement Academy and followed in his father’s footsteps. Patrick loved being a police officer and took pride in wearing the uniform. He served in law enforcement for four years and loved his fellow officers. Patrick had a smile that lit up the room and a big, charismatic personality to match. He was kind, loving and loyal, with bright blue eyes and a great sense of humor. Patrick enjoyed vacations with his family and spending time with his friends. He especially loved his family’s “Sunday dinner” tradition and never missed it if he wasn’t working. Patrick was devoted to his family and friends. He gave great big bear hugs and told everyone he loved that he loved them every time he saw or spoke to them, no matter who was around. He acted tough, but that was just a cover for his kind and loving heart. Patrick had a beautiful soul and is loved and missed beyond measure.
