About Scott William Blais
MSgt Scott Blais enlisted in the US Marines Corps at the age of 17. He spent the next 12 years as a SSgt stationed around the world including Japan, Arizona and the USS Bella Wood. In 2004, he enlisted into the 337th Airlift Squadron at Westover ARB where he proudly serviced as a C-5 Flight Engineer supporting missions around the globe. He collapsed and died unexpectedly during a mission.
Scott had a deep passion for aviation, from watching anything and everything that flew overhead to making air museums across the country a part of family vacations. Aviation was truly in his blood. He loved golf, OSU football, the Montreal Canadiens and by all accounts he never met a beer he didn’t like. He proudly lived by the motto to “never let the facts get in the way of a good story”.
As much as he loved serving our country, Scott’s true love was for his family. The proudest moment in his life was becoming a father to his twin daughters. His quick wit and humor lives on through them to this day.
