Technical Sergeant David Draper, United States Army, served with the 126th Infantry Regiment, 32d Infantry Division during World War II. A veteran of the campaigns in New Guinea and the Philippines, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism near Yakamul, as well as the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was killed in action during operations in the Philippines.
