About Allan E. Brown
Sergeant First Class Brown enlisted in March, 2004 and had previously deployed to Iraq (2006, 2008, 2009) and to Afghanistan (2014). He was assigned to the 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. SFC Brown died on 6 December, 2016 as a result of injuries received during a suicide vest bombing attack, 12 November, 2016, at Bagram, Afghanistan.
Allan’s commitment to service was unwavering. His knowledge of his craft, and his willingness to help others stood out to me most.
When Allan was injured, he cared more about those around him than himself.
