Lieutenant Colonel Jaimie E. Leonard was a graduate of West Point and served as a Military Intelligence Officer. Leonard died of injuries caused by small-arms fire received at Zarghun Shahr, Afghanistan. Also killed were Army Lt. Col. Todd J. Clark and contractor Joseph Morabito.

Jaimie was one of the hardest working people you could know. She was humble and always put the team first. At the time of her death, she was the highest ranking female killed in combat in the Global War on Terror.
