About Rachael Lorraine Hugo
CPL Hug, of Madison, Wis.; assigned to the 303rd Military Police Company, 97th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, U.S. Army Reserve, Jackson, Mich.; died Oct. 5 in Bayji, Iraq, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked her unit using an improvised explosive device and small-arms fire.
Rachael was a soldier of soldiers. She did her job everyday and saved numerous lives and touched everyone who knew her in a positive way. Her smile and personality lit up the darkest of times. Her heart was in everything she did.
She gave this country everything she had, including her life, because she believed in it and loved it.
