Master Sergeant Micheal B. Riley, United States Army, enlisted in 2006 and earned the Green Beret after completing the Special Forces Qualification Course. Serving as a Special Forces communications sergeant with the 10th Special Forces Group, he deployed six times to Afghanistan, operating in some of the most demanding combat environments. His distinguished service was recognized with honors including the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Riley was a consummate professional and teammate, known for toughness, humility and relentless drive. He led from the front, mentored others and pushed those around him to be better. Beyond the battlefield, he was known as DJ Mike Nice, sharing his love of music across Europe and the United States, bringing energy and connection wherever he went.
His legacy lives on through the lives he shaped and the impact he sought to make, especially for youth facing adversity. Remembered for courage, leadership and heart, he leaves behind an enduring example of service, sacrifice and a commitment to lifting others.
