After the attacks on 9/11, Staff Sergeant Andrew Kim Nguyen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served four years active duty, which included two overseas tours and a combat deployment to Afghanistan. Nguyen was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with a Distinguished “V” for Valor for his actions in Afghanistan in 2005.

Andy loved hard, with the same tenacity that he demonstrated while serving his country. He was intelligent, hardworking and a great leader of humans.

Andy’s passion for serving Veterans, and the countless lives impacted by his leadership, was felt throughout the Veteran community and his legacy will continue to live on through them.
