About Nicholas Ivie

Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie had served with the U.S. Border Patrol for four years and was assigned to the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station. He was accidentally shot and killed in a case of mistaken identity when he and another pair of agents checked on a ground sensor that had been set off near Bisbee, Arizona.

“I first met Nick in 2009 when we were going through BP EMT training together. He was a great dad and husband, along with being a great EMT and BPA. He was quiet but observant, had a great sense of humor, and loved his wife and daughters immensely. He was one of the best guys I ever worked with. His absence is still felt by many,” recalled friend and BPA coworker Dave Miller.
