Staff Sergeant Mary K. Anderson served for over nine years in the U.S. Air Force, from 1988 to 1997. She was honorably discharged, serving in the fields of Public Affairs and Information Management. She was additionally trained as a SERE Instructor. Mary was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was talented, kindhearted and always put her family first. If a friend or family member needed help, she was there. She was forever selfless. She never met a stranger. Her favorite saying was “Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.”
