Eagle Point — Today people from the non-profit, Carry the Load, made their third stop in Eagle Point to honor those who have fallen while out on active duty.

David Lindsey is the West Coast Relay Manager and a retired firefighter, he says it’s great to see people honoring their loved ones and restoring the true meaning of Memorial Day.

“The last three days we’ve been able to meet with five different gold star families and a lot of times they tell us how much they appreciate what we’re doing but it’s the other way around we appreciate what they’re doing,” says Lindsey.
