HOUSTON – Monday is the 22nd anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack.

The National Day of Service and Remembrance took place Sunday morning at Houston’s National Cemetery to honor the date.

More than a thousand volunteers assembled to clean the facilities in the memorial of the event.

The observance of 9/11 was organized to honor the victims just months after the attack by a small group of family members and friends.
