Carry The Load Rally coming to Waco

WACO, Texas (FOX 44) – An organization which brings Americans together to honor our nation’s heroes will be coming to Waco.

The public will walk with Carry The Load’s National Relay. The organization’s mission is to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day, which has grown into a nationwide movement with five routes covering 20,000 miles across 48 states. The National Relay starts in the upper U.S. and commences in Dallas on Memorial Day weekend.

Carry The Load says it is introducing a new element for 2024. Volunteers can register at www.carrytheload.org and download the Good Move app, which is a gamified activity tracking app allowing individuals to utilize their phones for fundraising progress and health activities. All participants are encouraged to register and download the Good Move app.

The non-profit’s goal this year is $2 million through peer-to-peer fundraising. Carry The Load has raised more than $42 million since 2011, with 93 percent of donations going toward its programs.
