Sergeant Phillip J. Antis, Sr. served proudly four years for the Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He often exclaimed “Oorah” to his brothers in arms, embodying the Marine Corps’ spirit of camaraderie and dedication. Antis died as the result of exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam.
Phil was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of his word, always ready to protect his family, declaring, “I will take a bullet for you!” Those who loved him knew that was not a boast, but the truth. He spent his life dedicated to his wife and children and their well-being always took priority.
Phil’s sense of humor was infectious. He loved a good “dad joke” and would even tell an off-color joke now and then. Phil’s legacy of integrity, dedication, hard work and love will forever be cherished by those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
