Captain Nathan Olivarez earned his BS & MS in ECE at WPI and served as an Avionics Engineer for the Delta IV Rocket and Missions Analyst at LA AFB. Upon completing Intelligence Officer Course at Goodfellow AFB, Nathan was assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB as an EC-130 Intelligence Officer at the 755th Operations Support Squadron. He was deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Nathan had a thirst for knowledge and understanding, enjoyed outdoor adventures, and was a culinary connoisseur. He was very empathetic, always looking for ways to make a difference and impact the lives of those in need. His Intel family said, “Nathan was one of the most intelligent people we ever knew, with the biggest heart of anyone in the squadron”.
Nathan means “Gift from God”, and he gifted everyone he knew with his jubilant smile, extreme generosity, and pure joy. “Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13
