Sergeant Juan C. Fajardo served with the New Jersey State Police for more than 16 years. Juan first joined the New Jersey National Guard as an infantry soldier. He then attended the New Jersey State Police Training Academy where he was a member of the 139th State Police Class. After being honorably discharged from the New Jersey Army National Guard, he returned to serve in 2019.
Sgt. Fajardo lived his life full of adventure, laughter, and was always challenging himself to learn new things. He enjoyed many hobbies including flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved coaching his children’s sports teams and was affectionately known to many in the community as Coach Juan.
Most of all, Juan Fajardo was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. The family enjoyed traveling in an RV for adventures and simply sitting for a family movie night and enjoying each other’s company. Juan was a husband, father and friend who was always present in the moment and made family feel loved and protected.
