Anthony Douglas Wentz
Fallen Hero’s Hometown and State: Falcon, CO
Branch of Service: Air Force
Rank: 2nd Lt.
Anthony was one of the most selfless people in the world. He worked relentlessly, fearlessly, and honorably. He made sure everyone he loved knew that he loved them. Anthony also firmly held on to his faith, and he never feared standing up for what he believed in, even at his own personal risk. He never wavered, never doubted, and never failed to do what was right.
Anthony Wentz had a dream, chased his dream, accomplished his dream, and died living out his dream. There is nothing more admirable than a person living out a life-long dream all while serving others.
Second Lieutenant Anthony Wentz accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy following high school graduation in 2016. In 2018, he made the decision to follow his dream of becoming a fighter pilot, and in 2020, he cross-commissioned into the U.S. Air Force. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to a T-38 formation flight mishap.
