ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Memorial Day is just a few weeks away, and one group wants to remind people it’s about more than just barbecues and a day off from work.

It’s a mission that takes place across the country in a 32-day, 20,000-mile-long relay. Each stop invites local veterans and military families to come to walk in memory of a loved one and share their stories.
