AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) – Carry The Load is a non-profit that provides an active way to connect Americans to the sacrifices made by military, veterans and first responders.

The organization’s relay team is on a journey across the country and you can join them in Austin.

The team is hitting up different cities and meeting people to walk with them while carrying/honoring someone who died in the line of duty and to raise awareness on restoring the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Organizers say they want all Americans to participate in honoring the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes.
